About Your Host,
        Sean...

MY 1ST LP!
"Well Howdy,  So glad you have stopped by my small Tribute to "Our Gal".   I'm sure I had many run in's with Patsy Cline through my youth, however, I don't recall most now.  I remember one day at age 4,  asking my mother or grandmother who it was singing on the car radio?  All I fancied were Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, & Elvis at the time.   I think the song on the radio was "Always."   From that point on the bug bit me good!

Another memory was watching Coal Miner's Daughter.  At first, I don't think that  Beverly De Angelo's voice moved me much however, now I just love what she did with the role.  This was a movie my family and I watched often.  My next memory is asking my Grandma Pearl if I could play her records.  I'm sure her answer at first was no, but if any of you know me, "NO" had no effect.  I knew I would have to be really good and ask again later.  Her record player was in the large hall that went to the bedrooms and other parts of her home.  I'm not sure if I got a yes but, I remember trying to be careful and boy did I play those old dusty LP's.  Then it happened, I found 25 Famous Original Hits.  Yes, one of the only two girl singers on the record was Our Gal.  I placed the needle down on the shorten version of "I Fall To Pieces" and the Queen sang out of those 25 inch stereo speakers and filled the house with such emotion.  Well, I must have played the song so many times that my family, though they loved Patsy, I believed began to go crazy.  I was sure to ask for my own headset after that.  Imagine if I had the whole song. Ha.

Then the collecting began.  Anything I could get.  We would be on road trips, there I was in the gift shop looking at the tape rack. When I found a new picture/artwork on a new tape I would still buy it, even if I had all the songs.  If Patsy was in the paper or sale flyer, I would cut it out.  I became a regular at the printing store.  My birthday lists went from Dolly & toys to Patsy over night.  I also became a member of the old fan club.  I would cut the grass faithfully for extra money and even gave up candy to save for the newest LP offer on the tube.  Then later a regular on Ebay.
Anything I could get my hands on!

A few years later, my family went to Winchester & Nashville.  I was able to see the grave, & met folks that worked with Our Gal.  We visited the wonderful Ryman.   I met with Charlie Dick at his old office with my family in 1987.  It seemed as if all my dreams came true when Mr. Dick sent me letters in the mail.   I was the biggest fan in my hometown. Even bugging the radio folks to please play Patsy again!

Per, had such a wonderful Tribute online.  I made myself a promise to have my own site someday.  A few years later, my small yahoo group site seemed to explode.  Folks were interested in my memorabilia & my opinion. I've made it to Winchester for the Labor Day weekends,  I met Miss Mildred Keith, Miss Annie Armstrong, Charlie, Julie and family,  King Jimmy Walker, Shane Collins, John Rumble, Philip Parker and many more fans by email, like Kelly Uhrich in Tx & James Gibbons in Canada.  With the prayers and support of many Patsifans, this site opened in December of 2005.  I'm a member of the Fan Club, APC.  A proud sponsor of the Historical Marker on Kent St. .....And now an award winning Webmaster.

Although there is a lot of unknown drama in the PatsyWorld, I am here stay.  At first I was disappointed by many fans & crazy people, but you know what?  I am so blessed to have God in my life.  A great family base, & blessed with a wonderful career.   A few of my hobbies are: cooking, my pets, travel, & abstract painting.   Please be in touch & stop by often.  My goals: "Making this site last and livin' a life to be proud of".
Thank you for the support.
Always my best,
Sean    PS.91
